City of Barnesville issued the following announcement on Oct. 29.
Did you know that Clay County is now recycling pumpkins!
Pumpkins CAN NOT go into yard waste piles. From November 1st to November 14th you can drop off your pumpkins at the Barnesville Recycling Center. Pumpkins will be reused for composting instead of going to the landfill. So please do not put candles, trash, paint, or plastic bags into the pumpkin collection bins
