CITY OF BARNESVILLE: Municipal Utilities Quick Response To New Service Installs And Service Problems

Utilitywork

City of Barnesville issued the following announcement on March 17

Barnesville Municipal Utilities prides themselves in quick response to new service installs and service problems.

With the recent COVID-19 concerns, in effort to keep our team and customers healthy by minimizing exposure, each request for new service will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

All customers will be asked the following questions before dispatching a technician for a new service installation or trouble ticket:

– Have you or anyone in your household traveled internationally within the last 21 days to an area where COVID-19 cases have been confirmed (Japan, South Korea, China, Iran, Italy and Europe)?

- In the last 14 days, have you or anyone in your household had contact with an individual with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19, or under investigation for COVID-19?

– Do you or anyone in your household have a fever, cough or shortness of breath?

If the answer to any of these questions is yes, customers will be told that their service request will need to be reviewed by management before a technician can be dispatched.

We hope you understand and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
