City of Barnesville issued the following announcement on May 13.
The planned fiber work in the area of the school did occur overnight. The work was completed with no problems, however this morning when the project was being finished up, a contractor accidentally cut a fiber line which has resulted in the disruption of service to the same 34 customers. We expect that these residents will not have telephone, cable or internet access Until Early Afternoon. We apologize for this inconvenience.
