City Of Dumont issued the following announcement on Aug. 12.
The Dumont water tower is going to get painted, starting August 13. The water for the residents will be bypassing the water tower. Russ will have a hydrant on main street running at all times. You will notice a lot of rust in the water during this time.
Please be aware your laundry may come out of the washing machine looking orange. Also, if there is a high volume of water being used, your water pressure will go down. The project will take around 7 days to complete.
