60 percent of applicants to Minnesota State University Moorhead were admitted for fall 2018

At Minnesota State University Moorhead, 82 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 61 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Moorhead enrolled 5,860 students in fall 2018, including 4,828 in undergraduate and 1,032 in graduate programs, data shows. 9.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

65 percent of undergraduates are residents of Minnesota, and 31 percent are residents of other states. 3 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (79 percent) and Black or African American (4 percent).

The school admitted 60 percent of the 4,204 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 31 percent enrolled.
