City Of Moorhead issued the following announcement on Jun. 23.

Build Community. Build your career! The City of Moorhead has two open positions that assist in operation of the wastewater treatment plant:

Facility Operator I

This technical position performs basic work assisting with operating a wastewater treatment plant: collecting samples, performing tests, monitoring and ensuring regulatory and permit requirements are met, preparing and maintaining records and files, and doing related work as required. 

Requirements: 

•  High school diploma or GED

•  Associate’s/technical degree in related field preferred

•  Minnesota Wastewater Treatment Facility Class C Operator license within 3 ½ years of hire

•  Valid driver's license

Salary/pay rate: $42,431 to $61,617, full time 

Facility Operator II

This technical position performs intermediate work operating a wastewater treatment plant: collecting samples, performing tests, monitoring and ensuring regulatory and permit requirements are met, evaluating and troubleshooting facility operations and maintenance, preparing and maintaining records and files, and doing related work as required.

Requirements:

•  High school diploma or GED

•  Three years’ experience working in a wastewater treatment facility or related field OR associate’s/technical degree in water and wastewater or related science field

•  Minnesota Wastewater Treatment Facility Class C Operator license 

•  Valid driver's license

Salary/pay rate: $47,799 to $68,284, full time
