City Of Barnesville issued the following announcement on Oct. 19.
Residents may have noticed the low water levels in the fish ladder and the pond area. The city's contract with the State of Minnesota requires the City of Barnesville to do regular maintenance. Sediment has built up in the pond to the point where it needs to be removed.
To complete that work the pond has been drained. It is expected that contractors will complete this work in November.
