The final topic for Winter Hazard Awareness Week is winter driving.
We touched on this a little on Monday, but traveling during the winter is a bit more hazardous than in other seasons.
Now is the time to put your winter survival kit in your vehicle. It should include items to keep your warm (blankets), Snacks (non-perishable), water, a light source like a flashlight, and a cell phone charger.
When on the road during the winter, we do frequently meet snowplows. They're out there to keep the roads clear and make them safer. Give them room to work and remember they may not be able to see you.
