The Southwest Minnesota Orchestra will present its annual “Holiday Cheer” concert at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall.
The concert will feature Te-Chiang Liu, the longest-reigning concertmaster in SMO’s history, performing “White Christmas.” The Prairie Arts Chorale will be joined by Elaine Hauger, soprano soloist on “Lost in the Night.” An annual highlight, the Holiday Cheer ‘Mystery Conductor’ will step in to lead “Sleigh Ride.”
The concert is one of the orchestra’s best-attended events of the year. Refreshments will be served in Carlin Hall following the event.
Dr. Daniel Rieppel is celebrating his 25th year as the Music Director of the SMO.
The concert is free and open to the public. A free-will offering will be taken following the concert.
