Washington, D.C. - Congresswoman Fischbach's office received over 40 submissions for this year's Congressional Art Competition, and the winners have been selected.
"Congratulations to Ashlyn from Central Minnesota Christian School, this year's Congressional Art Competition winner. Your stunning piece, 'Earth's Little Wonder' will hang in the U.S. Capitol for one year, to be seen by thousands of people, including staff, distinguished guests, and Members of Congress," said Congresswoman Fischbach. "Thank you to everyone who participated in the competition. We received so many wonderful submissions. It is obvious that we have some very talented artists across Minnesota's 7th District and I look forward to see where your talents take all of you."
First Place: "Earth's Little Wonder" by Ashlyn from Central Minnesota Christian School will hang in the U.S. Capitol.
Second Place: "Trombone" by Gage from BOLD High School will be displayed in Congresswoman Fischbach's office in Washington, D.C.
Honorable Mention: "Fated Clovers" by Lola from Perham High School will be displayed in the Congresswoman's Willmar office.
Honorable Mention: "Untitled" by Alyssa from Sacred Heart School will be displayed in the Congresswoman's Moorhead office.
