How many Runestone Area School District students took their MCA and MTAS Math tests in 2021-22 school year?

Runestone Area School District ranked fourth in the Douglas County for test participation, with 10 students taking the Math portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Runestone Area School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year rose by 233.3% over the previous year.

Runestone Area School District's students achieved an average Math proficiency rate of 0% in 2021-22 school year.

11th-grade students stood out with 0% of them exceeding standards in Math, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, 11th-grade students had the most room for improvement, with 0% not meeting the expected standards.

Runestone Area School District encompasses schools within Douglas County and has a main office in Alexandria.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.
