Herman-Norcross School District students performance on MCA and MTAS in 2021-22 school year?

Herman-Norcross School District ranked second in the Grant County for test participation, with 46 students taking the Math portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Herman-Norcross School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year fell by 30.3% from the previous year.

Herman-Norcross School District's students achieved an average Math proficiency rate of 30% in 2021-22 school year.

11th-grade students stood out with 0% of them exceeding standards in Math, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, fourth grade students had the most room for improvement, with 40% not meeting the expected standards.

Herman-Norcross School District encompasses schools within Grant County and has a main office in Herman.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.

Minnesota Department of Education issues could lead to data irregularities.
