How did Lake Park Audubon School District students do on 2021-22 MCA and MTAS Reading tests?

Lake Park Audubon School District ranked first in the Becker County for test participation, with 403 students taking the Reading portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Lake Park Audubon School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year rose by 4.4% over the previous year.

Lake Park Audubon School District's students achieved an average Reading proficiency rate of 47% in 2021-22 school year.

Third grade students stood out with 18% of them exceeding standards in Reading, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, seventh grade students had the most room for improvement, with 47% not meeting the expected standards.

Lake Park Audubon School District encompasses schools within Becker County and has a main office in Lake Park.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.

Minnesota Department of Education issues could lead to data irregularities.
