Pine Point Public School District students performance on MCA and MTAS in 2021-22 school year?

Pine Point Public School District ranked second in the Becker County for test participation, with 46 students taking the Reading portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Pine Point Public School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year rose by 24.3% over the previous year.

Pine Point Public School District's students achieved an average Reading proficiency rate of 24% in 2021-22 school year.

Eighth grade students stood out with 0% of them exceeding standards in Reading, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, third grade students had the most room for improvement, with 82% not meeting the expected standards.

Pine Point Public School District encompasses schools within Becker County and has a main office in Ponsford.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.

Minnesota Department of Education issues could lead to data irregularities.
