Census Bureau: 78.2% of people in Douglas County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 38,742 citizens living in Douglas County in 2021, 78.2% were old enough to vote, equating to 30,279 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 15,231 were male, constituting 50.3%, and 15,048 were female, making up 49.7%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Douglas County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 76.7%.
