Clay County had unemployment rate of 4% in 2021

Clay County recorded an unemployment rate of 4% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 1,413 people out of the 64,975 living in Clay County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Clay County has increased compared to the 3.1% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Clay County was nearly equal to the statewide unemployment rate of 4%.

Of the 34,223 people who had a job during that time, 118 were employed in the Armed Forces and 34,105 belonged to the civilian labor force.
