Rep. Fischbach shares legislative update, religious well-wishes on Twitter

Rep. Michelle Fischbach, a U.S. Congress member representing Minnesota’s 7th district since 2021, has recently engaged with her audience through a series of tweets addressing legislative activities and personal wishes during significant religious occasions. Fischbach, who replaced former congressman Collin Peterson, continues to share insights on her legislative agenda and personal reflections.

On April 11, 2025, Rep. Fischbach highlighted her commitment to "election integrity" by stating that the House of Representatives passed the SAVE Act. This act requires states to verify U.S. citizenship for voter registration. The announcement was made through her tweet: "The American people demand election integrity. This week, the House voted for just that, passing the SAVE Act to require states to verify U.S. citizenship to register to vote.".

In a tweet on April 13, 2025, Fischbach expressed her good wishes for the Passover holiday, focusing on themes of love and togetherness. She wrote, "I hope the Passover holiday is filled with love and peace with family for all who celebrate!".

Continuing with her engagement on religious themes, on the same day, she tweeted her wishes for a peaceful Holy Week, acknowledging its spiritual significance. Fischbach stated, "Hosanna in the highest! I pray you all have a peaceful Holy Week as we celebrate His love."

Rep. Michelle Fischbach, born in Woodbury, Minnesota, in 1965, has had a distinguished career in public service. After earning a BA from St. Cloud State University in 1989 and a JD from William Mitchell College of Law in 2011, she served in the Minnesota Senate from 2017 to 2018 before her current tenure in Congress.
