Rep. Michelle Fischbach, the U.S. Congress member representing Minnesota's 7th district since 2021, has reaffirmed her engagement in community activities and legislative initiatives through recent social media updates. Fischbach, who succeeded Collin Peterson and has prior experience in the Minnesota Senate, has communicated via Twitter on several topics.On April 15, Fischbach reminded constituents about an opportunity for young artists.
"Remember, you have until TOMORROW to submit your work for the Congressional Art Competition!", she tweeted, encouraging participation in this annual event that showcases students' artistic talents.The same day, Fischbach expressed her condolences and respects in memory of a fallen officer.
"Today, we honor and remember Deputy Josh Owen, who was tragically killed in the line of duty two years ago today. My prayers remain with him, his family, and the Pope County officers he served with.", she wrote on Twitter commemorating the anniversary of Deputy Owen's passing.On April 16, Fischbach spoke about her involvement in a summit focusing on issues concerning the aging population. She tweeted,
"I was honored to speak at the LeadingAge Leadership Summit. It was wonderful to be in a room full of people who are so passionate and so committed, and who truly understand how to best serve our aging population. I am grateful for LeadingAge's support of my legislation to.", highlighting her legislative efforts and engagement with stakeholders in elder care.
Michelle Fischbach, 57, represents Minnesota’s 7th District and resides in Regal. She is an alumnus of St. Cloud State University, where she graduated in 1989 with a BA, and she earned a JD from William Mitchell College of Law in 2011.
