Rep. Michelle Fischbach, a U.S. Congress member for Minnesota’s 7th District since 2021, has issued several statements on social media regarding the direction of current energy and government policies. Having served in both the U.S. Congress and the Minnesota Senate, Fischbach has a history of political engagement, informed by her academic background from St. Cloud State University and William Mitchell College of Law.
On April 29, 2025, Michelle Fischbach highlighted the first hundred days of the current administration, stating that "100 days in and @POTUS is unleashing American energy, clawing back ridiculous Green New Scam policies, withdrawing from the one-sided Paris Climate Agreement, and expanding American oil and natural gas extraction." Her comments emphasize a shift in energy strategy under the White House leadership.
Later that day, Fischbach commented about government reformation actions taken by the President, asserting that "@POTUS is cutting waste, fraud, and abuse throughout the federal government. DEI in government and military? Gone. Federal funding for woke agendas in schools? Not anymore." She reflects on the adjusted focus of federal policy concerning diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as educational funding.
In another message posted on the same date, Fischbach praised what she perceives as a return to fundamental sensibilities in political administration, saying, "With @POTUS in the White House, we’re seeing the restoration of common sense. We’re refocusing on military readiness, not DEI. We’re protecting women by getting biological men out of women’s sports. We’re unleashing American energy. We’re rooting out fraud, waste, and abuse in."
Fischbach was born in 1965 in Woodbury, Minnesota, and grew up to serve her state in various political capacities, achieving a BA and JD, which have informed her legislative priorities and perspectives.
