Michelle Fischbach congratulates art competition winner and discusses local issues

Representative Michelle Fischbach, currently serving in the U.S. Congress for Minnesota’s 7th District, has recently shared updates on various initiatives and discussions through her social media platform. Fischbach, who replaced former U.S. Congress member Collin Peterson in 2021, continues to engage with her constituents and stakeholders on key issues affecting her district.

On May 4, 2025, Rep. Fischbach congratulated Shoshannah, the winner of this year’s Congressional Art Competition for the 7th District. She highlighted that Shoshannah's painting, "Sunset Summer Nights," will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for a year where it will be viewed by thousands of visitors from around the world.

In another post dated May 5, 2025, Rep. Fischbach expressed gratitude towards @MNRuralElectric for their visit to Washington D.C., where they discussed several important topics including permitting reform, the RUS loan program, and the EPA’s Power Plant Rule's impact on electric cooperatives.

Michelle Fischbach was born in Woodbury, Minnesota in 1965 and resides in Regal. She holds a BA from St. Cloud State University and a JD from William Mitchell College of Law.
