Rep. Michelle Fischbach, a current member of the U.S. Congress representing Minnesota’s 7th district, recently took to social media to express her views and celebrate community achievements.

On June 2, Fischbach highlighted a troubling incident involving an elderly Holocaust survivor. She stated, "An 88-year-old woman survived the Holocaust only to be attacked right here in America for supporting her faith community. This country is built on defending freedoms and, just like we did in WWII, we stand with the Jewish community today." The tweet underscores her commitment to defending freedoms and standing in solidarity with the Jewish community.

In another post dated June 4, Fischbach congratulated Dorothy Vandendriessche for being honored at a local event. She wrote, "Congratulations to Dorothy Vandendriessche on receiving the Woman of the Year Award at the Catholic Women’s Convention. Thank you for your contributions to your community and the Church." This acknowledgment reflects Fischbach's support for notable achievements within her constituency.

Additionally, on June 5, Fischbach celebrated a significant milestone for one of her constituents. She tweeted about Lawrence Weinrich's centennial birthday: "Lawrence Weinrich from Ottertail County turned 100 last week! I hope you danced into your next trip around the sun." The message conveys her appreciation for long-standing members of her district.

Michelle Fischbach has been serving in Congress since 2021 after replacing Collin Peterson. Born in Woodbury, Minnesota, she now resides in Regal and holds degrees from St. Cloud State University and William Mitchell College of Law.
