Fischbach announces winners of 2025 Congressional Art Competition

Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach recently announced the winners of the 2025 Congressional Art Competition for Minnesota's Seventh District. The competition saw participation from over 45 students across the district, showcasing their artistic talents.

"I am encouraged to see the number of talented students we have in the Seventh Congressional District," said Congresswoman Fischbach. "Congratulations to Shoshannah for winning first place with her piece, ‘Sunset Summer Nights.’” Her artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol. The Congresswoman also extended congratulations to Carlie, Sidney, and Braxton for their second place and honorable mentions, which will be exhibited in her D.C. and district offices respectively.

The winning piece, "Sunset Summer Nights" by Shoshannah from Glencoe-Silver Lake High School, will hang in the U.S. Capitol. Second place went to Carlie from Underwood School for her work titled "Sunset," which will be showcased in Congresswoman Fischbach's Washington office.

Two students received honorable mentions: Sidney from Central Minnesota Christian School for "Succulent" and Braxton from the same school for "Brook Trout." Both pieces will be displayed in the Congresswoman's district office.

Congresswoman Fischbach expressed gratitude towards art teachers and school administrators who supported students throughout their creative processes.
