Rep. Michelle Fischbach discusses legislation ahead of Independence Day

Rep. Michelle Fischbach, a current member of the U.S. Congress representing Minnesota's 7th district, shared several updates via her social media on July 3rd and 4th, 2025. Her posts focused on upcoming legislative activities and national celebrations.

On July 3rd, Rep. Fischbach expressed her anticipation regarding a forthcoming legislative decision, stating "Can’t wait to deliver on our promise to the American people and vote for the One Big Beautiful Bill!"

Later that day, she highlighted the efforts of the House Ways and Means Committee in addressing key issues important to Americans. She noted "@WaysandMeansGOP has spent years listening to the American people about what is important to them, and the One Big Beautiful Bill delivers on those key issues." According to Fischbach, this bill aims to secure borders, enhance energy independence, reduce unnecessary spending, and reform taxes.

On July 4th, Rep. Fischbach commemorated Independence Day with a brief celebratory message: "Happy Independence Day! God bless America."

Michelle Fischbach has been serving in Congress since replacing Collin Peterson in 2021. Prior to this role, she was a member of the Minnesota Senate from 2017 to 2018. Born in Woodbury in 1965 and now residing in Regal, she holds degrees from St. Cloud State University and William Mitchell College of Law.
