Representative Michelle Fischbach, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing Minnesota’s 7th District since 2021, recently shared several updates on her official social media account. Fischbach, who previously served in the Minnesota Senate and holds degrees from St. Cloud State University and William Mitchell College of Law, addressed topics ranging from state spending to healthcare oversight and local infrastructure projects.
On July 9, 2025, Fischbach commented on state government expenditures with a reference to Governor Tim Walz: "Minnesota taxpayers spent $430,000 on legal prep, and @GovTimWalz still couldn't tell us what a woman is."
In a post dated July 11, 2025, she expressed appreciation for a meeting with Jason Swanson, Executive Director of the Minnesota River Area Agency on Aging (MNRAAA), stating: "Thank you to @MNRAAA Executive Director Jason Swanson for taking the time to talk with me in my Willmar office this week. We discussed the importance of cutting waste, fraud, and abuse from Medicare and Medicaid to make sure those who need these programs can access them for"
Later that same day, Fischbach reflected on discussions about municipal projects in Willmar: "I enjoyed catching up with Willmar Mayor Doug Reese, council members, and staff to discuss ongoing city projects for things like housing, water, and pedestrian bridges."
Michelle Fischbach was born in Woodbury, Minnesota in 1965 and currently resides in Regal. She replaced Collin Peterson as representative of Minnesota’s 7th District in 2021.
