2024-25 School Year: How many students were enrolled in Renville County schools?

There were 1,806 students enrolled in Renville County schools in the 2024-25 school year, 0.6% more than the previous year, according to reports from the Minnesota Department of Education.

In terms of gender distribution, the student body in Renville County comprised 53.4% boys, with girls representing the remaining 46.6%.

Data also showed that white students made up 73.9% of the student body, the largest percentage in Renville County schools, followed by Hispanic students with 21.3%, 1.8% multiracial students, 1.7% American Indian students, 0.5% Asian students, 0.4% Other Indigenous Peoples students and 0.4% Black students.

Renville County West Elementary had the highest enrollment among Renville County's nine schools in the 2024-25 school year, welcoming 329 students.

With more than 870,000 students enrolled, Minnesota's public school system is the 10th-largest in the United States. As of 2025 the student-to-teacher ratio in the state’s public schools is 15 to 1, on par with the national average.
