How many students were enrolled in Grant County schools for 2024-25 school year?

There were 1,012 students enrolled in Grant County schools in the 2024-25 school year, 3.4% less than the previous year, according to reports from the Minnesota Department of Education.

In terms of gender distribution, the student body in Grant County comprised 50.4% boys, with girls representing the remaining 49.6%.

Data also showed that white students made up 92.1% of the student body, the largest percentage in Grant County schools, followed by Hispanic students with 3.2%, 2.6% multiracial students, 0.9% Black students, 0.8% American Indian students, 0.3% Asian students and 0.2% Other Indigenous Peoples students.

WCA Middle School had the highest enrollment among Grant County's seven schools in the 2024-25 school year, welcoming 232 students.

With more than 870,000 students enrolled, Minnesota's public school system is the 10th-largest in the United States. As of 2025 the student-to-teacher ratio in the state’s public schools is 15 to 1, on par with the national average.
