Rep. Michelle Fischbach, who represents Minnesota’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, highlighted recent legislative and community initiatives impacting rural Minnesota in a series of posts on August 1 and 2, 2025.

On August 1, Fischbach posted, "Rural Minnesota feeds America. The #OBBB expands agriculture protections, energy access, and timber production to strengthen our rural economy." Later that day, she shared her engagement with local agricultural organizations: "It was great to catch up with @First_Dist and the @MNFarmBureau over lunch this week and discuss how the One Big Beautiful Bill and new trade agreements are going to benefit our rural and ag economies."

Continuing her focus on regional development, Fischbach wrote on August 2: "The Midwest Minnesota Community Development Corporation (MMCDC) provides commercial, home mortgage lending, business and, community development services throughout the state of Minnesota. Thank you for taking the time to discuss the work you're doing across the region."

Michelle Fischbach has served in Congress since 2021 after replacing Collin Peterson. She previously held a seat in the Minnesota Senate from 2017 to 2018. Born in Woodbury in 1965 and currently residing in Regal, Fischbach holds a BA from St. Cloud State University and a JD from William Mitchell College of Law.
