Michelle Fischbach shares updates on visits to pregnancy center, hospital, and theater

Rep. Michelle Fischbach, U.S. Congresswoman representing Minnesota’s 7th district since 2021, shared updates on her recent visits to community organizations and healthcare facilities in her district through a series of posts on social media.

On August 2, 2025, Fischbach highlighted the work of a local non-profit: "The Lakes Area Pregnancy Support Center is a non-profit that has been offering free services to families facing unplanned pregnancies for over 30 years. This week, I stopped at their center in Wadena, and they have locations in Staples and Brainerd, as well. Pregnancy centers".

The following day, August 3, she discussed rural healthcare challenges during a visit to Lakewood Health System: "At @LakewoodHealth in Staples, we discussed the issues facing rural hospitals and, the Rural Transformation Program. This program was included in the One Big Beautiful Bill to focus on rural providers. I also saw the progress they are making on their new cancer center, which is".

On August 4, Fischbach expressed appreciation for local businesses after touring a theater: "It was great seeing how the Falls Theatre is run. Thank you for showing me around!"

Michelle Fischbach began serving in Congress after replacing Collin Peterson in 2021 and previously served in the Minnesota Senate from 2017 to 2018. Born in Woodbury in 1965 and currently residing in Regal, she holds degrees from St. Cloud State University (BA) and William Mitchell College of Law (JD).
