U.S. Representative Michelle Fischbach, who serves Minnesota’s 7th district in Congress, posted a series of updates on her official X account reflecting on the anniversary of September 11, legislative developments related to Planned Parenthood funding, and local law enforcement concerns.
On September 11, 2025, Fischbach wrote about the significance of the day: "Like so many, I remember the deep tragedy of this day 24 years ago and I remember the fear felt across the country. But I also remember the unity that followed. And I am truly heartbroken to see how far we’ve fallen from that unity. I am heartbroken to see the rampant hatred and" (posted September 11, 2025).
The following day, she commented on recent legislative outcomes concerning federal funding for Planned Parenthood: "This is a huge win for the pro-life movement and upholds my legislation, the Defund Planned Parenthood Act, which was included in the OBBBA and restricts federal funding for Planned Parenthood and its affiliates." (posted September 12, 2025).
Later on September 12, Fischbach described a meeting with her Law Enforcement Advisory Board: "I hosted my Law Enforcement Advisory Board at my Willmar office. This committee is made up of around ten officers from across the Seventh District and they help keep me informed of their biggest concerns. At this meeting, there was a great deal of discussion about how local".
Michelle Fischbach has represented Minnesota’s 7th District in Congress since replacing Collin Peterson in 2021. She previously served in the Minnesota Senate from 2017 to 2018. Born in Woodbury in 1965 and currently residing in Regal, Fischbach holds degrees from St. Cloud State University (BA) and William Mitchell College of Law (JD).
