U.S. Representative Michelle Fischbach, who serves Minnesota’s 7th district, addressed a range of topics in recent social media posts, including the ongoing government shutdown and the anniversary of the October 7, 2023 attacks in Israel.

On October 5, 2025, Fischbach commented on the government shutdown’s impact across the nation. She wrote, "As we enter the fifth day of the shutdown, we know it is affecting Americans all across the country. Democrats will have another opportunity to reopen the government this week. Republicans want to see the government open and not wasting taxpayers’ dollars."

Two days later, on October 7, 2025, Fischbach marked the anniversary of a significant event in recent history. She stated, "On Oct. 7, 2023, the world watched the largest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. We remember those who were lost that tragic day, the hostages that are still being held, and their families. Today, we work to bring peace."

Also on October 7, Fischbach acknowledged National Propane Day with a brief post: "#NationalPropaneDay".

Michelle Fischbach has represented Minnesota’s 7th District in Congress since replacing Collin Peterson in 2021. Before her time in Congress, she served in the Minnesota Senate from 2017 to 2018. Born in Woodbury in 1965 and currently residing in Regal, she holds a BA from St. Cloud State University and a JD from William Mitchell College of Law.
