City of Alexandria issued the following announcement on Jan. 2.
Our Public Works team has been working to get out on the Noonan's Pond - the ice conditions are just not cooperating.
Work will continue the first week of January to add some thickness to the ice surface for us to get equipment on the ice to daily ice maintenance including using our Zamboni to recondition the ice surface.
We ask that the public be patient and we do our best to provide a place for people to come enjoy the outdoors!
The Warming House will NOT be opening this year because of the COVID -19 Restrictions.
