Representative Jim Joy extended his Independence Day greetings to residents, emphasizing the importance of the holiday and its meaning for Americans. In a message addressed to friends and neighbors, Joy reflected on the origins of July 4th and its significance in American history.

"July 4th marks the birth of the greatest nation on Earth—a country built on faith, courage, and a belief that liberty belongs to the people, not the government. Our Founders put everything on the line to declare that freedom was worth fighting for. And generations of Americans since then have continued that fight—on battlefields, in city halls, and in small towns just like ours," said Joy.

He also highlighted the contributions of various groups who serve their communities and country. "Today, we honor that legacy. We remember the soldiers, veterans, peace officers, first responders, and everyday citizens who serve and sacrifice to keep our country strong. We also recommit ourselves to passing on the values of hard work, faith, and freedom to the next generation."

Joy encouraged constituents to celebrate with family and community while reflecting on national values. "Whether you're enjoying a picnic with loved ones, watching a local fireworks show, or attending a community celebration, I hope this day fills you with pride in our country and gratitude for the freedoms we enjoy."

He concluded by noting ongoing challenges but reaffirmed his belief in America's resilience: "We may face challenges, but America’s promise endures—and it's up to all of us to keep it alive."
