City of Alexandria issued the following announcement on Jan. 17.
Ready! Ready for snow The plows will go out today, Friday, and will be out until 7:00 pm. They will return at 3:00 am to continue to clean up any accumulation. Sand will go down when snow has ended. Please drive with care, stay focused and keep it a little slower. We want everyone to be safe out there.
