CITY OF MOORHEAD: After a major snow event, the City of Moorhead’s Street Division is very busy clearing streets as quickly and efficiently as possible.

But did you know that the crews are continuously dealing with snow long after the storm is over and initial cleanup is completed?

Visit the Public Health Department in Fergus Falls or NY Mills and get your no-cost radon test kit. We used a test and the instructions were easy to follow-only took about 5 minutes to complete.

BRANDON-EVANSVILLE PSD: The B-E football team is selling the varsity game jerseys that were worn from 2015 to 2021

This is to help raise money for the purchase of junior high game jerseys. Each jersey is $25 & the quality varies from jersey to jersey.

CITY OF MOORHEAD: The City of Moorhead is accepting applications for a Building Inspector (Apprenticeship) in the Neighborhood Community Services Department

The goal of the Building Inspector Apprenticeship is to provide knowledge and enhance career preparedness in the building inspection field by providing mentorship, training and classes with the goal to become a Limited Building Official with the City of Moorhead. The apprenticeship is funded by the State of Minnesota for one year and made possible by a generous grant by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry.

WILLMAR PUBLIC LIBRARY: On January 24th, we will be having an art program for adults in the library!

The program will be at 2 pm in the Multipurpose Room.

Perform a wide range of duties related to highway maintenance. Highway Maintenance keeps the Douglas County highway system safe for public transportation. Repairs and maintains the county roads and ditch systems and keeps the traffic flowing safely and efficiently.

For Christmas, the 4th Grade class made 33 fleece tie blankets. Each student then got to pick a special person to give their blanket to for Christmas.

WILLMAR PUBLIC LIBRARY: Winter Reads has officially started! For every five books read, you will receive a prize!

The prize options for Winter Reads 2023 are a mug, a windshield scraper, or a cloth grocery bag. After receiving two prizes, any further entries will go to a possibility of winning the grand prize, a $100 gift card.

CITY OF MOORHEAD: The City of Moorhead Planning Division recently partnered with Leah Spotts’ Small Business Development class at Moorhead High School Career Academy on "The Vacant Lot Project."

Students researched business opportunities (self-designed or franchise) and picked a location in Moorhead that would be a good fit for their business.
